'Please Mr Grainger,
I think you ought to know - - - '
'Now less talking Jamie -
Get on, you’re rather slow.'
'But please Mr Grainger,
What I really want to say - - -'
'Now look here young Jamie,
We’ll talk another day.'
'But Johnny’s mixing chemicals.
I’ve told you this before.'
'And I’ve had enough from you.
Go! Stand outside the door.
'All you’ve done since break time
Is trying to harangue . . . '
But the teacher’s words were sadly lost
In one almighty B A N G!
Copyright on all my poems
Teachers and children chose this poem for publication in 2010, so I guess they liked it. I do hope you don't teach science and have had this happen in your class. I guess we would have heard about it on the news. Josie
